Transfer Stations
Waste Industries was one of the first companies in the Southeast to provide transfer stations for cities and counties. The enactment of Subtitle D of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) resulted in larger disposal facilities in fewer locations. Consequently, distances from point of waste generation to the disposal facilities increased dramatically. Transfer stations, located in cities or counties closer to where the waste was generated, have become "the gates" to these disposal facilities.

Waste Industries is an industry leader in transfer station:
  • Design
  • Construction
  • Operation
  • Management
  • Logistics
  • Transportation
  • Disposal
They provide local convenience without putting a disposal site in someone's backyard.
